Zygote — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 14 October 2026
What we collect
Zygote collects:
- A random ID that the app creates when you first open it. It is kept in your device's keychain, so it stays when you delete and reinstall the app. The server uses it to find your game.
- Your game: your organism, resources and progress, and the moves you make.
- How long you have played, and when you last played.
- Your device's model, its operating system and version, the app version and your language and region setting.
You don't give us your name, email or any account. None of this is tied to who you are.
Why
Only to run your game and fix problems with it. The server uses the ID to find your game and keeps your game so it can advance while you're away. The device details and play time help us answer bug reports and see how the game is played.
Where it's stored
On our own server, at zygote.lastdog.app. The app talks to it over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
Sharing
We don't sell or share your data with anyone.
Tracking and ads
Zygote has no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics.
Deleting your data
To have your game deleted from our server, email pjkirner@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
